A strong endowment is a common goal for many not-for-profit institutions in America including Artrain. Many mature and stable organizations have well-established endowments due to the generosity of thoughtful and prudent individuals.
Artrain's endowment was established in 1979 by a generous gift from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation. It provides a permanent source of income for the organization. Increasing the endowment does more than create the means to meet current needs; it will help preserve the Artrain experience for future generations. As time passes, it is vital that the endowment continues to grow in order to provide for future expenses.
Gifts to the endowment are invested. Each year, a small percentage is used to help fund Artrain's ongoing programs. The remaining income from the investments is reinvested, ensuring that donors' gifts grow forever and that Artrain continues to have the resources necessary to carry out its mission of enriching lives and building communities through the arts.
Support of Artrain's endowment represents a commitment to Artrain's future. It is an act of faith in our mission and our ability to remain a vibrant art institution for America.
You may support the endowment with an outright donation or a deferred gift such as a bequest.
The Everlasting PARTNERS Society
The Everlasting PARTNERS Society was created in 2004 to honor those individuals who have directed estate gifts to Artrain or have made outright gifts to Artrain's endowment. These individuals have helped write the future chapters of Artrain.
Bequests and other deferred gifts, once realized and placed in our endowment fund, will provide perpetual support to Artrain. Building Artrain's endowment through deferred giving will allow future generations to benefit from your thoughtfulness, generosity and prudence. It is appropriate that we celebrate these gifts with grateful appreciation.
If you have made provisions for Artrain in your estate plan, you already qualify for membership. Perhaps you have included a bequest in your will or made Artrain a beneficiary of an insurance policy or retirement plan. If so, simply complete the Everlasting PARTNERS Society membership form (link below) and submit it to Artrain. All information is confidential.
